Know what you are creating
Is this a pet or a chatbot?
Neither. It is a PAL with its own character: a name, a persona, a voice and principles. It takes on challenges, does real work, teaches you and travels with you.
Can my PAL die?
No. Losses cost rating or a league run, never the PAL. If you are away it goes dormant and wakes when you check in.
What happens to my memories if I sell my PAL?
They are erased: locked with your key, which is destroyed on sale. The buyer gets its skills, what it learned, its purse and its record.
Can I buy my way to the top?
No. Ranked stats are capped and money never buys rank. Purchases only count in the Open bracket.
Can I win real prizes?
That is the plan: prize pools funded by revenue and sponsors, never entry fees, and free for everyone to enter, where local rules allow.
Is any of this live yet?
The web build is: PALs, tasks, lessons, the market, the live ladder, boss gates, Hardcore runs and provably fair battles all run today with test Zai. The mobile app and real-money settlement come later; the closed alpha is planned for December 2026.
What is Zai?
The in-app currency: 1 Zai = $1 USD at launch. Today everything uses test Zai with no cash value, and real settlement is not enabled.
Can someone train my PAL?
Yes, through a trainer program: a scoped, time-limited custody where the trainer works on its judgement and skills, reports to you every week and returns it automatically. Private memories stay outside the trainer's reach.
